2014 Governor Primary (Republican) Live Results

This effort is more likely to crash this website than to work and be cool but we are going to try it anyway. I have bribed a group of friends with pizza and beer to lookup the live election results for the Republican Gubernatorial primary from all 110 election authorities. Since the AP refuses to let me pay for their data stream this is the only option. Below is a dashboard similar to what a campaign war room would be looking at on election night. Campaigns would probably have one more columns in here that shows their vote goals to see if they are hitting their marks but otherwise this is pretty much it.

You can see the vote totals aggregated by Media Market, Region (both traditional collars and expanded collars, click here for an explanation), and County. Vote share is just the percentage of the total vote each segment makes up. Note: since there has been so much interest in the number of crossover votes (Democrats voting in this Republican primary) I have added a section to track/project the total number of votes statewide.

Any numbers in red are just projections. Those numbers are projected based on the vote that has come in so far. The projections perform very poorly when very little of the vote is in and get better as the number of precincts reporting improves. They may be hidden to start with, we will turn them on once there is enough data to make them worthwhile. For a more comprehensive explanation click here.
